We are delighted to announce that Emma Henderson MBE will be joining us as a keynote speaker at our upcoming SWA Conference 2025: "Kaizen".

Until 2020, Emma was one of fewer than 500 female airline captains worldwide, flying thousands of passengers across Europe. When the pandemic brought the aviation industry to a standstill, she made the difficult decision to step away from a distinguished flying career spanning over three decades. Rather than looking back, she embraced change and founded Project Wingman, a charity that united thousands of airline professionals to provide wellbeing support to NHS frontline staff across the UK and beyond.

Emma’s journey—from the cockpit to the boardroom—has been defined by resilience, leadership, and adaptability. Throughout her career, she has inspired and empowered those around her, leading with composure under pressure. Recognised as Businesswoman of the Year in 2023, a recipient of multiple industry accolades, and awarded an MBE for services to charity, Emma continues to make an impact as a STEM Ambassador, Aviation Ambassador for the UK Department for Transport, and mentor to aspiring pilots.

Her story is a compelling testament to perseverance, teamwork, and the ability to lead from the front—qualities that align perfectly with our Kaizen theme of "continuous improvement".

We look forward to what promises to be an inspiring and insightful session.
