The Scottish Wholesale Association is working with the Scottish Agricultural Organisation Society (SAOS) and Scotland Food & Drink to run another of our joint industry leading ‘Delivering Growth through Wholesale' training and education programme.

Run for the first time earlier this year, the programme is designed to improve and encourage engagement between Scottish producers and wholesalers, in a market worth £2.9billion to the Scottish economy.

Aimed at producers of all sizes, from new start-ups to established businesses and who need greater understanding and knowledge of the Scottish wholesale channel, the programme will commence with a two-part workshop providing producers with tools and information to help them maximise opportunities within the wholesale industry.

Rising energy costs, the climate emergency and increasing consumer pressure continue to challenge the way that businesses across Scotland manage their environmental performance.

Accelerating the use of electric vehicles in Scotland’s wholesale industry is the focus of a current trial by the Scottish Wholesale Association and Volvo Trucks.

To support our members during the current energy crisis, SWA has arranged for staff from Business Energy Scotland to provide a special briefing on the energy-saving support and funding that is available right now.

SWA is delighted to announce a collaboration with Business Energy Scotland, offering members access to support such as fully-funded, expert consultancy advice and interest-free loans, and access to training to help minimise the impact of rising energy costs and reduce carbon footprints.

As judging gets under way for the SWA Achievers Awards, the Scottish Wholesale Association has confirmed that record entries have been received for the 2023 competition.

The Scottish Wholesale Association (SWA) has announced new collaborations with specialists The Algorithm People and Auditel as the industry pivots to a more environmentally sustainable future and reduces emissions.

New research from digital and data experts TWC in collaboration with the Scottish Wholesale Association (SWA) has revealed that two-thirds of Scottish consumers are having to reduce their spending to pay their bills. Consequently, cutbacks are being made including reduced treats, trading down on groceries and reducing the frequency of meals out of the home.

Scottish Wholesale Association (SWA) has appointed Ylva Haglund, a highly experienced campaigns and sustainability professional, as its new head of sustainability and engagement.

Entries are now open for the Achievers Awards, the long-established industry programme that rewards outstanding performance across the wholesale trade in Scotland and marks its 20th anniversary in 2023.
