SWA member Taylor Wholesale adapts and survive amid Covid-19 pandemic
Scottish Wholesale Association member Taylor Wholesale has spoken about its experiences when Covid-19 and lockdown hit the business, and how it lost nearly 80% of its business overnight.
Montrose-based Taylor Wholesale, which supplies soft drinks, confectionery, and crisps and snacks to customers includes retailers/newsagents, catering outlets/takeaway shops, licensed premises, schools and leisure centres – offering both a cash and carry and free delivered wholesale service – was able to adapt and survive.
The firm, a member of the Sugro group, was advised by SWA chief executive Colin Smith, Scottish Enterprise and Michelle Shepherd, business advisers at Business Gateway.
