Scottish Government doubles SME support to £90 million
The fund to provide grants for small and medium-sized businesses affected by coronavirus (Covid-19) is to be doubled from £45 million to £90 million.
Scottish Wholesale Association (SWA) previously welcomed confirmation by the Scottish Government that a £45 million Pivotal Enterprise Resilience Fund was being made available to food and drink wholesalers and other companies that have up to now fallen through the cracks of all other business support measures.
This additional funding is also extremely welcome and those who have not yet applied are urged to do so. The fund was paused for new applications while the significant volume of applications received to date are assessed, and is expected to reopen during the week commencing 11th May when SWA members who have not yet applied are encouraged to do so.
